My Reality

I am always talking about creating my own reality but it is just as important, if not more, to consciously create my virtual reality also. I recently met with one of my facebook friends in the real world and she was fantastic and we had so much fun laughing, talking and having tea and sandwiches at a lovely english style tea room. By managing my facebook page and rejecting most of the requests that come through and dumping all of the false prophets, I have a pretty cool eclectic group of friends, people that I would love to meet in the real world. I keep my numbers low and manageable and try to touch bases with all of the people or at least I have actually communicated with them at some point and they have written back. When I find someone that has never said anything to me, especially if they have over a thousand friends, I drop them because I know that there is nothing special about me remaining on this person's friend list. I am excited to get an opportunity to meet them in the real world and if that doesn't go well, I drop them from my friends list because in reality, I only want facebook friends that I would actually want to know in the world of the real!

Grandparent

These are my lovely grandchildren on one of their visits to my home, and they are a joy to spend time with, but, I have a problem with people who think that as a grandparent I am under some type of obligation to care for them whenever their parents want me to. What the hell is that about, I mean I do have my own life. Someone on facebook asked the question, "should grandparents be paid for babysitting," and I said hell yes, because I am talking about the parents that expect the grandparents to babysit everyday while they go off to work, not the occasional stay. A couple of people said , no, while others said that you could pay them by taking them to dinner or paying a bill for them. Someone even mentioned that the grandmother was sitting at home watching her stories, what? I think or at least I hope that this depiction of grandparents as having nothing better to do than take care of grandkids is just a horrible stereotype. I hope that the new millennium grandparents are blossoming all over the place and out in the world having wonderful creative adventures. It is alright to bake cookies, hang out with your grandchildren and watch your stories, which is all television is anyway, but, just not all of your precious time.

Easy breezy

Easy breezy and definitely a cover girl for the book, "The Game of Life and how to Play it." I am having fantastic experiences on planet earth. My life is most often filled with joy and I take full responsibility for that. I refuse to wait around for some institution or collective of any kind, to make my life great, to free me, to provide for me, no way, I have learned to play this game of life and I am becoming a master at it. What new and exciting adventures await me?

Can I save them?

Many many times when I am listening to people talk, I really wish that I had the power to save them from their worse enemy, "themselves," but, that just isn't the way the game is played. Tonight I put my two cents into a conversation about love and then, had accepted the fact that it was impossible for them to understand what I was saying, so, I opted out of the monologues and went on with my night. These younger women were equating love to with suffering and pain and I was trying to point out that the things that gave them pain were betrayal or lost of a love one, not, love itself. But in the end, they just were not hearing what I was talking about. I know that many people listen to Oprah, and one day I heard her try to explain to an audience of women that, "love doesn't hurt." That is it! So in the end, I decided to leave the women alone in hopes that they would figure it out because this was not my dilemma and if I kept expressing the joy that love brought me, they may start to resent me, but, I just had to make sure that I let them know that love is not pain, sorrow, suffering, love is the sweetness of life. If you think of love as risk, suffering and pain, that is what you will always attract. It comes from within you, you manifest your reality , so if you expect the worst, the pain and suffering, guess what, that is exactly what you get. Love is the force that holds my sacred universe together.

Calm in the storm

This is how I want to be, I am,  calm when all around me, the storm is raging!  At my core, I will remain strong and confident in my ability to weather any storm.
