I Define My Reality

There are way too many people in the world that will try to define your reality for you if you let them and I have no intention of letting them do that to me. People will assume and define your reality by race, gender, class, nationality, age and any other type of group that they can squeeze you into. There is baggage attached to all of these classifications but I am not one to take on other peoples limitations. Just because you feel restricted by race or gender, do not try to force this restriction on me. The other day somebody was talking to me about age and the reality of one person dying and leaving the other behind, in the case of a couple, I heard her concern but frankly speaking, it is not my concern. My concern is that my honey and I live our lives to the hilt! I care and put my attention on living, not on dying. I do not want to waste our precious time here on earth worrying about leaving. Too many people try to put their crap on you, guess what, you will be the one to suffer behind this kind of thinking, not me, because I refuse to own it, no thank you, I fly above all of this low level thinking.

I went to the woods

I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately.
I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life!
To put to rout all that was not life...
And not, when I came to die, discover
that I had not lived...

My birthday!

Muir Woods, ah beautiful, this is the sight that greeted me on my birthday morning. After writing my birthday blog, I became inspired to go out and do some of the things that I said I wanted to do in that blog. This is the beauty of writing, very often after writing something I am compelled to go out and have an adventure. While working on a book , that I have yet to finish, my characters insisted that I actually go to all of the places that I had them go to, and that was a very enlightening year because I visited what has since become some of my favorite places, towns and power spots to hang out in.

Today is my Birthday

Yes today is the day that I officially turn 59 years old, wow, I can hardly believe it! Yes, it has been a fantastic journey so far and I have come through in pretty good health. I have managed to avoid the drugs that most people my age have been tricked into taking without questioning but, it is just a matter of time that my body will push back if I don't get my ass into a dance studio or/and get out and do some walking. I will celebrate my life during the month of January and I will take time out to ponder, where I go from here. I would love to live to be one hundred but in order to do that, I have to really guard my health and do the right things. But, more importantly, I have to have a reason to want to live that long and that means I have to continue to create a magical life and continual growth is the way to do that. So, I will strive to capture and keep the title of renaissance woman by continuing to learn to play the guitar, learning spanish, reading, writing, I will paint this year, visit museums, journal in cafes, lay on rocky beaches, stand in redwood forests, take in live performances, visit teahouses, sit in small intimate jazz clubs, visit all of my power spots, visit art galleries, rent cottages in cool locations and always hold on to my joy.

Missing home

I am missing what I consider to be my spiritual home which I have been visiting every two years since 2000. I found out about Sedona existence in the mid- nineties but never seriously considered going until my husband finally convinced me to take what we named "our southwest trip." His interest was in New Mexico, Santa Fe to be exact. I told him that I was game but I needed to make a stop in Sedona since we would be going pass it, and it was love at first sight. I was awestruck like everyone who enters Oak Creek canyon. The drive down along winding road, with towering red rocks standing watch over your arrival into this magical powerful place, is a treat in its self.
By the time you reach Sedona and realize that Oak Creek canyon was just the appetizer and that the beauty goes on for miles and to top it all off , you are in the middle of seven or eight magnetic and electromagnetic energy vortexes(vortices), which are attributed to the iron in the red rocks, you are overwhelmed by it all. I know now that once every two years is hardly enough or right for me, I need more, I want to find a way to go every years for a few days. I am putting it out there!

no see um bugs

Who would have ever thought that "no see um" was the actual name of the bugs that bit me or at least the common name. When I was a kid my dad became very upset at us for calling a bug that we encountered everyday, a pincher bug. He told us that he was going to find out the real name of the bug and then told us that from there on out, we had to call the bug by its proper name, "earwig." That probably isn't the real name or spelling but, I digress. About a week and a half ago, I went out with the guy in this picture, Rahelio, on a sacred , mystical energy gathering journey. We trusted him as our guide and we had a wonderful time or at least I thought for about 15 hours and then all hell hit me. Bumps started to appear on my body, first on my calves, then my arms, my ears, on, in and around, my jaw line, ankles, and finally my cheek and forehead. Well up until yesterday I thought they were very bad mosquito bites and treated them as such. My daughter is the one that told me to goggle the " no see um" bug , and it was there on the web describing all of my symptoms. So now, I am pissed at Rahelio for saying, "I know these pesky little bugs are annoying but go deeper into your meditation." What, are you kidding me, I am laying my ass on the ground and these bugs are going crazy all around me as I try to spiritually connect with the vortex energy, wow!! Rahelio, Rahelio, you never mentioned the "no see um" bug until I emailed you about my dilemma, so yes, I am pissed at your negligence and will have to find another guide the next time out.

filled with energy

I am so filled up with the vortex energy that I just want to sit alone in my house for a few days but unfortunately, I have got to go out tomorrow for a couple of hours and talk with women. I hope I will not blow all of my energy out. I think I can hold on to the magic by telling them stories of lights hovering over the cliffs, a possible ufo sighting, or maybe about the sounds we heard in the wind. I spent the day reading about ufo encounters, portals, inter-dimensional travels, invisible e.t.s and big foot all of this happening in Sedona. I am vibrating at a higher frequency and at times, I feel a little anxious, so I plan to stay off the streets and to ground some of this energy. As soon as I got home from Sedona, I changed all of my jewelry to stones because that is what I knew I needed to do. I also gave myself a crystal treatment. That's it for now.

Processing

I am still processing the experience so, I can't say much but what I can tell you is that whenever I return from Sedona, arizona, there is at least a two week readjustment period. It is kind of difficult for me to re-enter the everyday mundane life, I don't really want to do it. I go to Sedona for spiritual realignment and I received mines early one morning while sitting on the hotel balcony reading a book. All of a sudden I thought that it was a earthquake and then I became dizzy and at the same time, I felt something like electric shock to my left foot and I couldn't move. At first I felt a little scare and then, I realized what was happening and I let it happen without resistance after all this is the reason for my visit to Sedona. So, you see why I still have a lot of processing to do and I will leave it at that for now.

My Anniversary

I am thirty minutes away from our 31 wedding anniversary and I am still trying to get things ready for our trip. It really doesn't seem like we have been together that long but in all that time, four days is the longest time we have been apart and that was torture. I adorn my husband and I am looking forward to our adventure, and I am hoping that I will have time to post my blog and post on facebook but, I don't always feel secure using my computer in hotels.

Looking forward to being out there

I can not wait to be out there in the wide open spaces, just me and my baby(Charles). We are in count down mode now. I am looking forward to all of the beautiful lights and the energy of Las Vegas and seeing the cirque du soleil show, O, again. I am also looking forward to going across the Hoover Dam again and we might even swing by the Grand Canyon. And we are especially overjoyed to be returning to Sedona, we haven't been there since 2006 and we are way past due for an energy overhaul.
